Foster is a 4-year-old yellow lab and a very good boy. He enjoys spending his days going on long walks and saying hello to the birds and people of Santa Rosa.  Kai Connick, General Manager

 Kai is a lifelong California native who lived in southern California before moving to the Santa Rosa area in 2017. He has been the store manager for Wild Birds Unlimited in Santa Rosa since it was acquired by Lauren DeRosa and Lynn Raymond in September of 2022. He’s a dedicated animal lover who was previously employed in the pet industry – but working at Wild Birds Unlimited is the best job he’s ever had! His favorite bird is the chickadee. When he’s not in the store, he fills his free time with reading, video games, singing and playing music, his motorcycle, obsessing about his bird feeding setup (of course), and providing a lap for the three cats who graciously allow him to live in their home.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Francie Clay, Team Member

Certified Bird Feeding Specialist in Training Since 2023

Francie is a native Californian who has had a life-long interest in all "creatures great and small!" She spent 21 years as a wildlife tour guide in Alaska and developed a passion for the birds during that time. She is now semi-retired and happy to share that passion with her fellow bird nerds! Joe Nielsen, Team Member

Certified Bird Feeding Specialist Since 2023

Joe is a native Santa Rosa'en, having lived in the region for most of his life. He joined the WBU team in September 2022, and has enjoyed expanding his bird knowledge ever since. When not filling his need for birding, Joe also loves writing song lyrics, gaming, and going out to eat for great sushi!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     

Abigail White, Team Member

Abigail has been with the Wild Birds Unlimited team since November 2022. She is an aspiring ceramic artist who grew up bird-watching with her Oma. She’s the owner of Foster, our part-time store dog. Her favorite bird is the common raven.

Lucas is a native Californian who grew up in Southern California. Lucas has a passion for bird watching and loves helping others. He also enjoys music, exploring the outdoors, and meeting new people. His favorite bird is the Stellar's Jay!
